Football for Girls & Boys aged 5 to 18

The club was founded in 1990 by Sue Dawe and Caroline Reed, with an advert put into a local magazine ‘Hardwicke Matters’ asking for children to come and play. It all began supported with a donation from Mr. Coaker of Careway removals a local business man who helped them buy their first kit.

The club then entered it's first team in the under 12's Gloucester League. This then attracted the attention of the Hardwicke Rangers AFC and with their help the first committee was formed with George Powers as chairman and Hardwicke Rangers Youth football club was born.

Now the club has grown from that single under 10's team to supporting nearly 300 members, girls and boys, with age groups ranging from under 6's to under 18's with some players progressing to join Hardwicke AFC after their final season.

The club was delighted to have been awarded the FA charter standard which recognises we offer a very high standard of coaching and support to managers and players a like. In order to maintain these high standards the club has an Executive committee made up of volunteers that meets monthly to ensure that the club goes from strength to strength, for the benefit of the youth in terms of football and organisation alike.

The clubs home is now known as “The Rob Dawe Memorial Close” after our dedicated Chairman who sadly passed away in 2014. We continue to develop the facilities with changing rooms, shower block and a meeting room.

In 2016 we were proud to be honoured by the GFA as their Chartered Standard Club of the Year.
